Job SummaryAssist and support the Controller in daily tasks within the finance department and take ownership of driving improvement in processes and policies to streamline operations and improve company performance.
Responsibilities:
Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes.
Formulation of internal control policies to comply with legislation and best practices.
Update and create procedures across all departments in the company to support proper recording of transactions and optimize system standards.
Monitor and review procedures for compliance.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for executive management.
Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
Provide analysis and insights on budget variances.
Monthly analysis of general ledger and financial results.
Support all processes within the department when necessary.
Manage the coordination and preparation of external audits.
Liaison for external tax accountants in the preparation of annual tax returns Complete annual government survey reporting.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance CPA Encouraged 3-5 years experience in accounting or finance role Public accounting experience preferred Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis and Budgeting Advanced knowledge of Excel Strong communication and analytical skills.
